The Crisis Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides support, advocacy, and resources for the victims of family and sexual violence.
We were founded and funded in 1989 by members of the Jacksonville service league. The Center operated a small women’s shelter dedicated to helping the victims of domestic violence in Cherokee County.
Since then, our services have expanded to Anderson County and in 1997 we founded the Children’s Advocacy Center to help child victims of family violence, sexual abuse, and crime.
We operate two safehouses, two thrift stores, and a community outreach program thanks to generous donations and volunteers.
The Crisis Center’s operating budget is dependent on donations from everyday citizens and businesses throughout our area.
