The Crisis Centers of Anderson and Cherokee Counties

A Pathway to Freedoms

The Crisis Center of Anderson & Cherokee Counties is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides essential services to victims and families impacted by family violence, sexual assault and child abuse. The Center was founded by Jacksonville Service League members who, in the late 1980s, noticed a need for community-driven support for family violence victims.

The original founding members began seeking permits in December 1988 and by March of 1989, they were funded and approved to operate in Cherokee County. In 1994 operations expanded into Anderson County and in 1997 the center added the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) program under its umbrella.

In 33 years, the center has expanded operations to help men, women, children, and families who are suffering to find hope, justice and healing by providing the necessary resources and support they need to recover from sexual abuse and family violence.

The Crisis Center of Anderson and Cherokee Counties (CCACC) is committed to an environment in which relationships are characterized by dignity, courtesy, respect, and equitable treatment. It is the policy of the CCACC to provide all clients with an environment free from all forms of discrimination, including discrimination against an individual with a disability, race, color, religion, nationality, sex, age or English proficiency. It is the policy of the CCACC to provide an environment that safeguards the health and well-being of all clients of the CCACC. It is the policy of the CCACC to provide all clients with an environment free from all forms of prejudice, and inequality, and to promote cultural diversity and the acceptance of other beliefs, ideals, religion, and opinions among the staff and others associated with or representing the CCACC.
